On Friday, June 11th, the Town of Ledgeview and members of the local Pheasants Forever Chapter with assistance from Stone Silo Prairie Gardens, started work on a pollinator habitat at Ledgeview Park adjacent to the East River Trail. A $5,000 grant from American Transmission Co.’s Pollinator Habitat Program provided the funding to bring native pollinator plantings to the park, which will be located beneath an ATC electric transmission line. Close to 1,000 plants were planted in less than 3 hours.  The Town wants to thank the NE Wisconsin Pheasants Forever chapter for their volunteer assistance in planting and providing discount seeds, Stone Silo Prairie Gardens for help with plant selection, site prep, and site maintenance, and ATC for funding this project.
